Join us for this 6-week group for Kindergarteners-2nd Graders focused on developing social-emotional learning skills!

In elementary school, kids are developing their identities, learning tons of new information and gaining the social skills to do it all. All this change and learning can be a lot for little ones! Without a toolbox of social and emotional skills to lean on, it's common for kids to feel lost and overwhelmed.
If you've got a kid that's struggling with regulating their emotions, communicating their needs and/or developing meaningful friendships, then join us for this group! Emily Plesnicar, LPC & therapist here at Simply Bee, works with many kids navigating these social & emotional challenges. She’s created this new 6-week group with a goal to empower young minds to communicate effectively, regulate emotions, advocate for their needs, and make social relationships to benefit themselves and others.
Through discussion, crafts, games and mental health education, this group will be a space for Kindergarteners-2nd graders to learn and grow together. Some examples of group activities include: emotion bingo, worry stones, mood meters, problem solving wheels and more!
Through this group, kids will…
- Learn about their emotions, thoughts and body language
- Understand how to make mindful decisions, manage their time and self-regulate
