Client Testimonial
"It’s virtually impossible for me to express just how much love and gratitude I have for Angel and everyone at Simply Bee. Angel’s kindness, warmth, and caring create such a safe space. The way she is able to connect with kids and allow them to open up is amazing. The help, support, and tools she gives my daughter are invaluable and no matter how many times I say thank you it will never be enough. Angel truly is an Angel! The whole team at Simply Bee is amazing, Madeline’s guidance and care during intake was so comforting and Stephanie’s calming energy and warm spirit have been invaluable. I can't say it enough, I am thankful to Audrey for creating Simply Bee, building this amazing team, and serving our community!"

Child & Tween Therapy
Ages 5-12
Specialties Include: Anxiety | Depression | Self-Esteem | School Refusal | Trauma | ADHD
Most children and tweens will face problems in life that feel overwhelming and distressing. There are times when life stressors turn into anxiety, panic, depression and difficult behaviors. Therapy is a place for young people to feel heard and learn how to problem solve their way through common and uncommon life events.
Through therapy, our goal at Simply Bee is to help children learn how to better cope and communicate. Most times, children do their best learning on the spot through experiences such as role playing, talking out problems and behavior tracking. Our therapists develop activities specifically to the clients’ presenting issues to help keep them engaged.
Sometimes, the entire family needs to be involved to provide adequate support and behavior change at home. In these cases, our experts will ask parents to join a session while other times the child will spend the entire session with the therapist. We strive to find individualized treatment for each child while collaborating with their families to help them develop healthy coping mechanisms, a confident sense of self, and an ability to manage difficult emotions skillfully.
Common issues we help children with include: Bullying, School Stress, Social Issues, Anger Management, Poor Self-Esteem or Low Confidence, Grief & Loss

Art Therapy

Art therapy is a specialized area of mental health that uses art materials and the creative process to explore emotions, reduce anxiety, increase self-esteem, and resolve other psychological conflicts. The American Art Therapy Association states that art therapy can be an effective mental health treatment for individuals who have experienced depression, trauma, medical illness, and social difficulties.
Whether through expressive writing, music, movement or visual media, all arts mediums have the ability to change people’s perspectives, moods, relationships and overall mental health. By combining art therapy with counseling, clients have the opportunity to explore thoughts and feelings while working towards goals such as self-improvement, decreasing distressing symptoms, and increasing healthy coping strategies. Artwork made in session provides a tangible representation of your experiences that can be explored further through imagery and words.
Note: Any artwork that is created in session is your creation and always belongs to you. Your art therapist will not show your artwork to anyone without your permission.
