We are thrilled to be back for our 2nd Summer Of Self-Care Camp, open to all incoming 7th-9th grade girls! Through mindfulness, movement & therapeutic crafts, this camp will support participants in prioritizing self-care through values, mindfulness, empowerment and emotional balance.

For many teens, it can feel challenging to know how to incorporate self-care into daily life — especially amidst the hustle and bustle of the summer season! This camp is here to support your teen in making self-care and wellness a priority this summer and beyond.
Join us July 31-August 3rd for a week of wellness projects, movement & therapeutic crafts. All of these activities are based in values, mindfulness, empowerment and emotional balance. Facilitated by therapist Emily Plesnicar, LPC & yoga instructor Stephanie Bersh, E-RYT, this 4-day summer camp will be a space for your teen build a toolbox of self-care skills and practices with other like-minded people. Activities will include tie dye, yoga, stress ball & zen garden making, meditation, values activity and more!
Through this camp, participants will:
π Identify core values and understand their importance in self-care & mental health
π Gain knowledge on the benefits of mindfulness and how to incorporate it into daily life
π Become aware of skills that increase a sense of empowerment and decrease negative self-talk
π Develop an understanding of emotional balance to build acceptance, self-awareness and calm

Meet The Facilitators

Emily Plesnicar, MA, LPC
Emily graduated from Roosevelt University in 2021 with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health. Emily enjoys working with children and adolescents. She has four years of experience working with with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), anxiety, ADHD, work/school refusal, and depression. Prior to Simply Bee, Emily did her clinical internship as a therapist at New Connections Academy. She also has experience as an Applied Behavioral Analysis therapist working with ASD.
Emily believes it is important to build a trusting relationship between the therapist and client by taking the time to listen and understand in a non-judgmental space. Emily has a collaborative approach when working with her clients while incorporating mindfulness.

Stephanie Bersh, E-RYT
Stephanie Bersh, E-RYT Certified is the resident yoga teacher at Simply Bee. She is a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance, has been teaching yoga for over 8 years (over 1,000+ teaching hours) and has been practicing yoga for the past 15 years. Stephanie is Hatha certified with a strong foundation in basic postures for grounding and increased flexibility, gentle yoga for relaxation, and restorative yoga for releasing tension in the mind and body.
In her workshops for adults, young adults, and teens, Stephanie’s teaching style is dedicated to alignment, safety and growth. Stephanie strives to create a welcoming and un-intimidating environment to allow participants to receive the health and relaxation benefits of yoga. She focuses on simple practices such as breathwork, body movement, journaling, and meditation.
