5 Planners To Reach Your Potential

The Old Narrative.

Women have unlimited potential yet the their mindset tells them otherwise. For decades society, family, friends, and media have prescribed a false narrative to women about who they should be or what they should look or act like. It's a story that leads women to play small and safe.

A New Narrative Emerges.

You are capable of anything. You are can do the hard thing and discover the essential skills to change whatever you want in your life that is not making you happy. Your excuses are just fear telling you all of the reasons why you can't do something but you can. Your worry is just anxiety sitting in your body waiting to be let go. You can do hard things. This is your new narrative.

Learn how to...

Build Understanding

Most people aren't as aware of themselves as they think they are: and building awareness and an understanding of your own inner experience is the first, and most crucial, step. Less than 5 minutes a day with this planner can bring the internal clarity you need to push into growth.

Listen Curiously

Have you ever really stopped and listened to yourself - your thoughts, your emotions, your body? One Day At A Time gives you the space you need to tune into yourself and discover what you need, without any judgment attached.

Respond With Control

The world is full of overwhelming moments. How can you approach each and every one of them calmly? Truth is, you can’t. But you can learn strategies here to respond to your environment with more patience and purpose and let go of the guilt of your not-so-perfect responses.

Grow Limitlessly

Growth doesn't happen overnight, and it doesn't happen magically. It takes work, but I promise you, it’s worth it, and you can do it - one day at a time. Gain the confidence, joy, and control you’ve been reaching for. There’s no limit to where your growth can take you.

So where did this all come from?

As a therapist, podcast host, and public speaker, I’ve built my life and my career around conversations. The idea and model behind this planner series has been the result of over 10 years of some of the most impactful conversations I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of. From inside the walls of my office with clients, to curled up with a cup of coffee on my living room couch with a dear friend, to a gymnasium with a team of elite volleyball players, I’ve listened and I’ve learned from those around me what it means to grow and what it means to be resilient.

I created the Growth and Resiliency model as a framework for my work and for my life - born out of the steps I’ve come to understand as essential to personal growth. You might recognize some similarities between this model and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs (talking to you my fellow psychology nerds!). Awareness - just like food, water, and shelter - is the most basic step in growth. No real progress can happen until you become aware of your own internal experience. And so this is where the One Day At A Time planner series begins: teaching you how to build awareness, so you can gradually move up the pyramid and land at growth without feeling overwhelmed. I’m here to take the pressure off of personal growth, help get you out of the rut of self-doubt, and give you a kickstart in reaching the potential you always knew you had.

Let's break it down:

Here’s the truth: most people aren’t aware as they think they are. And those who want to rush through awareness and get to the change often miss the point of personal growth. ‘Become Aware’ is a guide to just that: learning how to build awareness around our thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and urges. It’s the foundation around which you’ll lay the building blocks of growth. For 30 days, you’ll tune into your inner life, and you’ll be surprised at what you find when you take just 5 minutes to pause and reflect. The best part? The result is that you’ll be giving yourself the opportunity to take care of yourself and learn to stop problems before they arise.

Learning to observe ourselves is, in my opinion, one of the hardest steps in the whole process. But don't let this scare you. It's hard because society doesn't really give you the training you need to be able to become an objective observer of yourself. But in this step I'll give you the information and skills you need to become more objective about yourself and how you experience your world. You'll have learned so much about yourself from 'Become Aware', and you'll use this information as a launchpad into the observe phase, where you'll complete your inner growth work. For these 30 days, I'll teach you how to take a bird's eye view on yourself - your worries and dreams alike - that will help you let go of judgment towards yourself and evaluate your inner environment with poise.

The respond phase is where you will take all the inner work you did in the become aware and observe steps and create a plan in how you want to move forward. In every moment of life, and especially in the most challenging ones, you have a choice of how you want to respond, both to yourself and to the world around you. This is the step where you'll learn about the choices you have when you do respond. Do you want to be a reactor: someone who behaves impulsively, emotionally, and without control in times of stress? Or do you want to be a responder: someone who behaves calmly, thoughtfully, and confidently even amidst chaos? This step is all about learning the difference between being a responder and a reactor and the ways in which you can practice being the former. After 30 days here, you'll walk away with the ability to create a balanced response plan to your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and urges.

Life might be a lot simpler if we only had to worry about yourself, right? But we live in a social world. surrounded by relationships in our personal and professional lives. I wish I could tell you that there was a way to avoid all the situations and people that make us feel stressed and upset, but that would be too good to be true. In this step, however, I'll give you my insight on the ways you can best communicate with your external world - without those overwhelming feelings that cause us to react on impulse. This step is where we really dive in to how to take all the things you have learned about your internal experience and how to respond to it and integrate them into your outer life - your job, your family, your friends. Growth isn't just within ourselves, it's also how we express ourselves in the midst of all of those around us. My goal in this step is to give you the confidence you need to take on your world as that cool, calm, and collected person you've always wanted to be.

You've done the hard work. You've put in the time and effort to work your way through 4 steps, learning and growing in each one. This step firstly focuses on reflection. Let's be honest: regardless of how much work we do on our personal growth, none of us are going to be perfect. We're going to fail and we're going to have hard moments. But when we can look back on these moments in order to analyze and use them as catalysts for growth, we can move forward even on some of our worst days. And secondly, this step focuses on finding opportunity in challenges, uncertainty, and change.Uncertainty isn't fun, or comfortable, or easy. But it does give us a unique opportunity to be creative and to be innovative. This is a step that can't be limited to 30 days: your growth is limitless, and you have the power to continue to grow far past where I have taken you in this book series. We've made it to the top of the hill together - and now its your turn to keep exploring.

Hey! I'm Audrey Grunst and I'm the founder and owner of Simply Bee Counseling, a licensed therapist, mental performance coach, executive coach and podcast host. But I'm also a mom to two, a wife, a busy human, an avid reader, a dog lover, and a crime junkies enthusiast. I'm a melting pot of all of my identities and all of my experiences, and I approach my career and my life embracing all of the lessons I've learned from all of the parts of myself. As a therapist, I coach people every day to improve their mindset, their performance, and their perspective. As a mom, I teach my kids -----------------.  As a friend, -------. As an individual, --------.

It is out of all of these experiences that I've built my love for writing and creating. I've found joy and purpose in spending time each night to write and reflect on what I've learned from the incredible people I encounter on a daily basis. I consider my voice to be unique: it's a voice that's been developed from the trials and triumphs of my own experience and the experiences of all of those around me.

It's with this voice that I created One Day At A Time - authored by me, but inspired by hundreds of brave people just like you.

Simply Bee Counseling was created out of a feeling. On a wellness retreat at the Himalyan Institute, I came across a feeling of inner peace and calmness - something that I had always been unconsciously searching for, but hadn’t quite achieved in the throws of my busy life. I knew immediately that this feeling was powerful, and I’ve built this practice out of a desire to help people and my busy community find this same feeling - to help them ‘simply bee’ themselves.

At Simply Bee, we firmly believe in the idea of holistic wellness. Wellness isn’t just about the mind: it’s about the balance of the mind, the body, the spirit, and the heart, and the ebb and flow of all of these parts of ourselves. And even more importantly, we believe that wellness is for everyone, because our communities are only as strong as each of the individuals that create them. It’s out of these principles that we’ve created our modern approach to therapy, passionately and empathetically guiding people in their wellness journey.

Simply Bee’s in-person services, in line with our emphasis on holistic wellness, include therapy, psychiatry, performance coaching, nutrition, movement, public speaking, professional training and events. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we've stepped into the world of online services to continue to reach our community with our message. Our online services include courses, programs, telehealth, coaching, and webinars.
